Course Description

Our eighteen hole golf course measures just under 6,100 yards and plays to a par 71. No hole is the same and every hole offers its own unique challenges. The course has undergone a lot of development over the past year with the introduction of four superb new holes.

The course is described as a mix of parkland and woodland, so large mature trees are a very prominent feature on most holes. We also have a number of small lakes on the course, and you will encounter these on a number of occasions throughout your round - and we think you find our large fish quite entertaining as they greet you by the 16th tee.

Our location within the Brecon Beacons National Park provides some impressive views of the surrounding mountains and vales. This might suggest that our course is of a very hilly nature, however it is in fact reasonably flat with some moderate undulations contained within.

We have made great strides forward in recent years in terms of golfing facilities. The highlight of this is the development of four brand new holes which only recently opened. The new holes have added over 500 yards to the length of the course is a good test of golf by anyone's standards. The old holes that were replaced have become our Junior Academy Development Course. One of just a few such facilities in Wales specifically designed for junior golf.

Having begun life as a nine hole course, the progress made proves how dynamic and forward thinking Glynneath Golf Club has become. You've just got to come and experience it all for yourself, whether it be as a new member or as a day visitor.
