FULL ADULT MEMBERSHIP IS ONLY £402.50 A YEAR
The current annual cost for membership is set out below. We do not charge joining fees and, with many of the membership options, we can split the fee into 12 monthly instalments*. For your information, our annual subscription fees are listed below.
We operate membership on an 'anniversary renewal' basis. Membership is due for renewal on the anniversary of joining. The Five Day Passport option has recently been introduced to appeal to those golfers who enjoy the occasional mid-week social round but have no desire to play competitions or possess an official handicap. Instead of paying green fees on each visit, which can add up to a considerable sum, this one-off payment will cover every weekday through the year. It amounts to just £6.32 per week for the opportuity to play on five days a week. It should be noted that Five Day Passport holders are not eligible for the added benefits of being a full member of the club (including the option to play at Glynhir for free) but can take advantage of generous concessions on buggy hire and guest green fees. * Fees for the Intermediate, Country, 5-Day, Full & Family options can be paid in monthly instalments at the member's request - a surcharge of 10% applies.
We warmly welcome all new membership applicants and take great pride in our reputation of being a friendly club. Our membership packages offer plenty of flexibility for a wide range of personal circumstances. Members can normally just turn up at the club and play within the next available space on the 1st tee. We run a number of different competitions throughout every week of the year and members are encouraged to participate in as many of them as possible. The Club competes in the Glamorgan County League and is represented at 1st Team, 2nd Team, Links, Quartz and Stones levels. The Ladies and Seniors sections also participate regularly in their respective leagues and the Juniors play in the Glamorgan League. Again, members are encouraged to get involved in team golf and to represent Glynneath on the inter-club stage. There is no requirement for a proposer or seconder for new applicants, nor is there a requirement to have been a member of another golf club in the past. We feel this makes the process of joining our club much easier for applicants, especially those who have recently moved into the area and may not yet be friendly with any current members. Our membership base is made up of a wide variety of different playing abilities, ranging from low single figure handicaps, right up to a 28 handicap for men and 36 for ladies.. So, whatever your playing ability might be, you can be assured that you will feel comfortable and welcome as a member at Glynneath. Of course, with our new Five Day Passport, you may decide to give the competitive element of golf a miss and play it purely for enjoyment and socialising purposes. Please contact us if you would like to take up membership of the club or would like to discuss any matters relating to membership. We will be only too happy to assist you. |
